AutoLocator Privacy Policy

Summary

AutoLocator analyzes web pages locally in your browser to generate automation locators. Free analysis does not send page content, screenshots, or browsing history to external servers. Optional Pro features may use the hosted AutoLocator API for checkout, entitlement, and AI locator refinement only when you choose those features.

Data AutoLocator accesses

When you click Analyze Page, AutoLocator may read the DOM of the currently active tab to identify visible, actionable UI elements and generate locators.

AutoLocator does not:

• Read pages unless you trigger analysis
• Access tabs in the background without your action
• Collect passwords, cookies, auth tokens, or hidden field values by design (password fields are redacted in output)

Data AutoLocator stores locally

AutoLocator uses chrome.storage on your device to store preferences, session results, rating prompt state, and Pro entitlement status when applicable. Session results are cleared when the tab is closed.

Pro checkout and payments

If you purchase AutoLocator Pro on auto-locator.vercel.app/upgrade, payment processing is handled by Razorpay. We receive payment confirmation and the email you provide at checkout to activate Pro.

Pro AI refinement (when enabled)

Pro AI locator refinement sends locator candidate metadata (not full page HTML) to the AutoLocator API through a secure backend proxy. You initiate this feature explicitly.

Network activity

Free locator analysis does not transmit analyzed page data to developer servers.
